THE 2020 BAR K 5K & AFTER PARTY WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH
WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL, USA TRACK & FIELD CERTIFIED COURSE. OUR GOAL IS TO HOLD THE PREMIERE DOG-FRIENDLY 5K IN THE U.S.!!
Bar K is a unique and joyful destination combining a 2-acre fully staffed dog park with a modern bar, restaurant and coffeehouse. The Bar K 5K is a dog-friendly event for competitive runners, weekend warriors, novices, walkers and everyone in between. If you love running with your dog, the Bar K 5K is the one must-do event on your race calendar!!
The course is a beautiful loop along the Riverfront Heritage Trail through Berkley Riverfront Park, under the Bond Bridge, Heart of America Bridge and the historic AS&B railroad bridge, with only one street crossing along the entire course. You are encouraged to run with your dog — or, if your pup’s not a runner, leave him or her in our fully staffed dog park while you race! And if you don’t have a dog, come race with us anyway!
All entrants will receive a custom finisher’s prize at the finish line. Your race entry free gets you and your dog fee entry into Bar K for the After party, as well as a drink ticket good for one free domestic draft beer. And we’ll have awards for the Top 3 in the following categories:
