Rain or shine, the region's largest farmers’ market can be found at the City Market every Saturday and Sunday year-round. More than 140 vendor stalls burst with bedding plants, fruits, vegetables, herbs, fresh baked goods and other sweets, cut flowers and crafts made by local artisans.
At the City Market, you will find the finest produce and many organic foods all fresh from Missouri and the surrounding region.
Great benefits and value can be found here while also supporting local farmers!

Keep It Clean KC: River Market Community Church Kansas City Serve Day
September 16 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Thanks to your overwhelming response to the River Market Serve Day in April, we’re planning another Serve Day that’s even bigger and better.
The Basics | 300 neighbors. 24 service projects. 1 clean KC.
Schedule | Each group of 80 volunteers is scheduled to show up at The Homesteader Café at 1-hour intervals. For the first hour, you’ll enjoy a hot breakfast and learn about the project you’ll complete with your 10-person team. Next, you’ll head out with your team leader to the “project site” and get your hands dirty. (Project lengths vary from two to four hours depending on the cohort you select.) After finishing your project, volunteers will come back together to celebrate with snacks, music, and get their goodie bag including an awesome free t-shirt.
Register | Free online. Go to KCServeDay.Eventbrite.com. Registration for this event is vital to ensure you receive a meal for your belly, a t-shirt size that covers it and placement on a work team.
Get there | Walk, drive, Streetcar or carpool. The Homesteader Cafe is located just a block east of KC Streetcar’s North Loop stop. Note: you will be responsible for getting yourself from brunch to your project and back to the celebration.
Park | The Homesteader Cafe’s parking lot is across the street from the restaurant on the NW corner of 7th and Walnut. There is additional free parking at the SE corner of 7th and Main.
Projects | Projects range from planting trees to removing graffiti, from picking up trash to painting trash cans. River Market, Crossroads, and Downtown Proper are the impacted neighborhoods for this Serve Day.
Donate | This event is 100% volunteer and donation-based. Donations allow us to buy everyone breakfast and t-shirts, plus pay for logistics. Donate here: http://bit.ly/2wcmt1m
