Rain or shine, the region's largest farmers’ market can be found at the City Market every Saturday and Sunday year-round. More than 140 vendor stalls burst with bedding plants, fruits, vegetables, herbs, fresh baked goods and other sweets, cut flowers and crafts made by local artisans.
At the City Market, you will find the finest produce and many organic foods all fresh from Missouri and the surrounding region.

2017 Art in the Loop Kick-Off Reception and Program

The 2017 Art in the Loop Project: Cue!, a curated outdoor exhibition staged in partnership with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and KC Streetcar, features 10 temporary artworks, 4 artistic performances and a summer-long concert series along the KC Streetcar route, in the City Market, and at the Central Library.
As the series prepares to open, a number of the participating artists, dancers, musicians, and poets take turns discussing their works. They are introduced by curator Jessica Borusky, an artist and educator who lives and works in Kansas City.
Art in the Loop¬running from May 1 to September 30¬is designed to make cultural experiences available to downtown residents, visitors, and workers. The kickoff event is co-presented by the Downtown Council of Kansas City, the Municipal Art Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, KC Streetcar, and the KCMO Office of Culture & Creative Services.
